Dockers to Dunks

The phrase "Dockers to Dunks" is metaphorical. Dockers, a fairly inexpensive dress shoe typically found in any office space in America, represent the standard and conventional ways of living life. Conversely Dunks, a stylish shoe developed by Nike, represent creative ways of living life. In turn, Nike Dunks symblize the liberation and independence gained from choosing not to work conventional 9-to-5 jobs. Over time the sneaker has become an urban culture icon usually found on people who are pursuing and/or living their dreams.
